The Squad focuses on learning routines to compete at Regional and National Competitions throughout the year. Chiltern Three Rivers Junior Badminton Club (Amersham, Bucks, HP7 9DN) --
Thursdays is the regular session at St Clement Danes School during term time, from either 4.45pm or 5.45pm- 6.45pm. Some sessions during June/July sessions are on a Wednesday at Dr Challoners High School for Girls, Cokes Lane, Little Chalfont, Bucks, HP7 9QB when the sports hall is out of action due to exams at Chorleywood. The club enters teams in the Wycombe Badminton league during October to April. We have an U12 team which is a hybrid team (can be boys and girls), and an Under 14 Boys team (Yr 9 & below). Our U12 team won the league this season 2008-09. We anticipate entering a girls U14 team this forthcoming season 2009-10 for the first time. Matches are at the Wycombe Badminton Centre on a Saturday either from 11am - 1pm or from 2pm - 4pm. The number of matches is dependnent upon the number of teams entered. The club, affiliated to Badminton England, prides itself in having fully qualified Badminton England level 1 & 2 coaches coaching regularly at the Thursday sessions. The club hosted the trials for the Three Rivers District Badminton trials in March/April for Under 12 players and the selected team were the most successful yet in its history of taking part by gaining the bronze medal this year by coming third.

Only eight miles from Hyde Park Corner, it is one of the oldest polo clubs in the United Kingdom and the last surviving club in London. The club occupies a beautiful location between Richmond Park and the River Thames over looked by Ham House[2]. The clubs facilities include three polo fields (two boarded), a stick and ball field, an exercise track, livery service, coaching and a clubhouse for the members with a restaurant and bar. Polo is played at Ham Polo Club between May and September. The club runs chukkas on Tuesday evenings, Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. The Memorial Bowling Green was established after the First World War (1914-1918) as a Memorial to the men of the United Methodist Free Church in Lower Darwen who served their country. By 1926 the finances of the Bowling Club were such that the Church could no longer keep it going and help was asked from two wealthy mill owners in the village. This was agreed on condition that the green could be used by the public and not only by Church members. The Trustees agreed to this condition. Since then the green is open to all but the land remains the property of the Methodist Church so we remain in the unique position of being a private club but a “public green”.

Rutland Hockey Club has currently two established mixed teams, a ladies team and a growing mens side. The mixed teams play in the Leicestershire & Rutland Mixed Hockey League, full details of which can be found on WWW.LMHA.CO.UK, with the first team in division one and the second team in division two. There are regular league fixtures on a Saturday throughout the winter season with additional cup games and seven a side tournaments. In addition to league matches there is a Summer League and the opportunuty to play in various festivals and tournaments. The men`s teams are playing in the Men`s East League, those interested in playing mens hockey can contact the club. Home games and training are played at Oakham school. Social events occur throughout the year. As a club we are keen to recruit new club members. Lack of previous experience should not be seen as a barrier to giving hockey a try. STAGE 2 Gymnastics Club is Shrewsbury`s largest gymnastics club and was formed as part of Stage 2 Performing Arts Academy, from which it has recently separated to continue its eleven year history in its own right. Stage 2 Gymnastics Club offers a well structured organisation run by two professionally qualified owners within the auspices of ‘British Gymnastics’. We run gymnastics classes in Shrewsbury, Shropshire and at Lilleshall National Sports Centre throughout the week. Currently, 300 places, both boys and girls, are filled by artsitic gymnasts ranging from beginner to competitive grades level. The club covers Bars, Beam, Vault, Floor, Trampolining and Conditioning for girls, with Rings, Bars, Pommel, Floor, Trampolining and Conditioning for elite boys. Only caring and suitably well-qualified British Gymnastics coaches are employed with a good balance of youth and maturity. Clare, Director of Gymnastics, is a qualified secondary PE teacher who has also specialised in dance and for five years ran her own pre-school nursery. John, Executive Director, is a former headteacher and Ofsted Inspector with some 25 years experience. For the past 12 years they have both run the highly successful Stage 2 Performing Arts Academy alongside the gym’s development. Together they now look to support an excellent, highly qualified coach in Ben Bennett, through building upon a gym club that attempts to foster progression through a safe, well organised environment, within a caring ethos.
