Code Red Roller Derby (Sports Centre, Queens Avenue, Bicester, Oxon, OX26 2NR) --
TRY ROLLER DERBY FOR FREE WITH CODE RED ROLLER DERBY IN BICESTER, OXFORDSHIRE. Roller derby is a quad skating sport, it is a great way to get fit and have fun. Anyone can play as unlike most other sports size and shape are not discriminating factors. We loan you pads, skates and helmets. If you already own quad skates you are welcome to use them. For your taster session you will be given a demonstration by experienced skaters, our dedicated new skater coach will then show you the basics of skating safely, if you are confident on skates you may be invited to play some skate games. For your session please bring plenty of water, it is thirsty work. Wear comfortable clothing: leggings, tights with shorts, sweatshirts and/or t-shirts. If you wear glasses/contact lenses, pack your spare pair just in case. Bring inhalers if you use them. For those that enjoy the taster session and would like to continue we offer a basic skate training course, this normally takes around 12 sessions to pass, you can then start learning the skills required to play Roller Derby itself. Your taster session is free and if you decide to take up the sport with Code Red Roller Derby membership fees start from £20.00 per month.
