• We are a very proactive Rugby League Club founded in 2016 as Black Swans RLFC & becoming Worcester Jaguars RLFC in November 2019. ? The club has grown steadily with a plan to grow organically from a local foundation base. To this end it was founded as Junior Rugby League team allowing us to grow our own & sustainable talent base of players. This is proving very successful with us having a thriving Junior club (6 to 15 years of age) who trained throughout the summer in Sixways Stadium, Worcester. With our sites set high we are an England Talent Pathway (ETP) Club with all our coaches either qualified ETP coaches or undertaking their ETP coaching course. ? Our aim is to eventually become a professional club within the Rugby Football League professional tiers. With this in mind we decided to build our club from Juniors upwards building a pool of local talent to go through into the Open Age club. This will allow us to have a stable First Team & a pathway for our Juniors to progress too. To further this we decided to establish a Category 3 Rugby Football League Academy. It was decided to run this Academy as an independent & separate organisation open to all young players in the Midlands. So in 2019 the Mercian Development Academy was founded with Open Access Development Squads from ages 12 to 15 years of age & a full Educational Academy based in Malvern for 16 to 18 year olds. The Academy is partnered with Castleford Tigers Foundation & also provides a further pathway into the the Super League. ? 2020 will be a big year for us as the next part of our plan comes in to play with the formation of our Open Age First Team. We will be holding trials for this in November 2019 & Fevruary 2020. With facilities in Malvern & Worcester our aim is not only to turn the Jaguars in to a thriving club but also to establish long term Community Programs to develop Rugby League in the region through schools, clubs & associations.
