• Merriott Majorettes has been running for nearly 20 years. We are a self-funded, non-profit majorette troupe based in Merriott, Near Crewkerne. However we compete in competitions all over the southwest as well as entertaining the public and supporting the community by taking part in Fetes, Displays, Carnivals and other special events throughout the local area. We welcome girls and boys aged between 6 and 17 from anywhere in the local area to learn choreographed dance routines involving the use of batons and Pompoms We involve children in a fun, healthy leisure pursuit, allowing them to acquire new skills, and develop sportsmanship, friendships and team spirit. We aim to promote the inclusion of families of the majorettes, through activities such as fundraising events and social gatherings and to raise money, through fundraising initiatives, in order to benefit the expansion and development of the troupe.
