• Learn Karate and build your confidence. Come along and try one of our martial arts sessions in Clacton? We have training sessions available for all ages and abilities to come along to: Monday - Clacton County High School 18:30 - 19:30 Kids Karate 5 years up to 11. 19:30 - 21:00 Adults Karate and Self defence. Friday - Brotherhood hood Hall 17:00 - 18:00 Infants Karate 4 years to 6 years. Saturday - Brotherhood Hall 10:00am to 12:00pm Family Karate. NEW Session for Infants starting the Saturday 21st FEB 2015 at the Clacton Coastal Academy from 9;15am to 10:00am. This first session will be FREE to attend. And why does karate manage to do such a good job at bringing them out? More than any other sport, Karate gives you the chance to explore your innate powers. You will marvel as you increase in strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, and harmony. Yet this is only the start. In fact, your physical skills act as a foundation for something much more important: the development of your value skills, mental and spiritual. Not cut off from your physical skills, but intimately connected, even bonded, to them. These include:- Self Confidence Self Esteem Self Control Respect (for self and others) Fitness Self-defence These are just a few of the values that can be achieved within Karate. There is a saying in the karate world - "the more you train, the more you gain". The benefits to be gained from martial arts training also continue throughout your life, which may explain why there are many active karate participants in their 50s, 60s and above who are still growing and learning!
